Comedy 1-2-1 Coaching

Fast-track your comedy skills with personalised coaching from an experienced stand-up and comedy coach.

Whether you’re completely new to comedy or already performing on the circuit, 1–2–1 Comedy Coaching gives you tailored guidance, structure, and accountability to sharpen your writing, delivery, and confidence. You’ll get focused attention on your performance, personalised feedback, and practical next steps designed entirely around your goals.

You want to see a change in how your audience is responding — and how you feel about your gigs. This is where that happens.

How the Coaching Works

Coaching is available online or in person at our Brighton or Worthing base and adapted to your individual needs. Every session combines writing, delivery, performance, and detailed feedback, helping you develop material that connects with audiences and reflects your authentic voice.

We’ll work on:
• Developing and editing original material that lands with audiences
• Tightening your timing and delivery for maximum impact
• Performing with confidence, clarity, and strong stage presence
• Using positive body language to engage and control the room
• Learning and practising crowd work techniques
• Handling tough gigs and tricky audiences with composure
• Marketing yourself effectively — building your comedian’s profile and using social media with purpose
• Gaining insight into running your own gig or open mic
• Networking with promoters and booking real gigs through industry contacts
• Creating achievable action plans with built-in accountability

Every session is fully focused on you — your set, your style, your goals. This one-to-one approach means faster results, deeper insights, and the confidence to take your comedy further.

What to Expect

  • Targeted feedback on writing, delivery, and stagecraft
    • Performance opportunities and gig advice tailored to your goals
    • Constructive guidance to improve your presence and connection with audiences
    • Homework and writing exercises to build a strong bank of material
    • A relaxed, encouraging atmosphere that helps you perform at your best

If you’re local to Sussex, you’ll also get a guaranteed gig spot — the perfect chance to test your new material live.

Testimonials

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
‘Having gained my thirst for stand-up from the Brighton Comedy Course Weekender, I really wanted to get my set into good shape. So I booked a series of individual online coaching sessions with Louise. The discipline of regular sessions kept me focused, and Louise’s professional eye helped tighten my material. Above all, we had some big belly laughs, which these days is priceless. Totally recommend doing this!’

Q&A

What’s different about 1–2–1 Coaching compared to the group courses?
The main difference is focus. Every session is completely dedicated to you — your material, your delivery, and your goals. You get more time, deeper feedback, and the flexibility to move at your own pace.

Can I do this if I’ve never done stand-up before?
Yes. Many beginners start here for a more personal introduction before joining a group course.

Do I have to be local to Brighton?
No. Coaching can be done online from anywhere in the world. If you can make it to Brighton, you’ll also have the option of a live gig spot.

Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. We can arrange that, just reach out, and we’ll be in touch within 48 hours to arrange your payment plan.
